Better in my opinion to inject something each month than to take ungodly amounts of pills every day. I mean 9 pills of antihistamines a day.
For MCAS? Xolair can be very effective but hard to predict in advance esp if IgE not elevated. Plus can cause adverse reactions which is important to understand since once injected it 'lasts' for 3-4 weeks. Less data on dupilumab for mcas.
Yh I have been taking 300mg of Xolair for 4 months. My IgE was elevated. Seeing some improvements now and hope for drastic improvements further along. Dose won’t go up for me from 300. Is insurance approval a problem for this drug in your experience in the US? I had to cheat a little to get it.
How effective is Xolair? Dupilumab?
