Welp. I was burnt out from gamedev recently, so I thought I could take a "vacation" from gamedev by making a game. A small one, of course.

Play dice with me, will ya? Or something, I don't know.

I'm trying to implement the "Farkle" dice game using my engine. I learned about it from Kingdom Come Deliverance. I like the mini-game _so_ much that I thought about making it.

I finally finished my first game using the engine I've been creating for the past few months. And, man, I love gamedev.

That sense I get when fulfilling my creative desire is much better than anything else.

Or maybe I'm exaggerating. Possibly.

Well, I totally forgot that my engine supports lighting, so I just added it instead of spending 3 days trying to implement distance-based fog. Unfortunate, yes, but it still looks good.

I feel like I'm at a crossroads here... get it? No? Okay.

I'm unsure if the game looks better with or without the fog. Perhaps if I edit the fog's parameters (the color, the density, etc.), it will be a bit better?

I was actually thinking to add a bit of fog just to limit the player's sight. It's definitely something I'll consider, though, since seeing the vehicles pop out of the screen does look bad.

I never realized how fun level design is. I was always too scared to do it because I have a severe case of "I don't know what the f*ck I'm doing" syndrome.

Either way, I added some heavy-duty trucks to challenge the player a bit more.

After spending several months making the engine, I'm finally able to work on a game and, gosh darn Jebus, it's fun.

It's still a work in progress, though. It's basically Frogger with level design instead of an endless road that leads to nowhere.

Houses are getting really hideous-looking nowadays, eh? Or I just can't load the vertices properly. Probably that, yeah.
