No, this is not one from the museum, I fooled you! This is, however, a little weirdo snowman encountered on the path up the hill to the Museum. Note that mirrors had been attached to the eyes, where you can see my two companions, Jim and Killer Joe. These names may or may not be aliases.

Here is a copy of the Canova in Maymont Park in Richmond, VA. It was originally shot on 35mm Ektachrome, but I created a paper negative and printed it on B/W photographic paper. Paper negatives are known for their soft, deep shadows.

This is the Agia Dynami Church, built in the 16th century in Athens, tucked away underneath a hotel. This Greek Orthodox church honors the Virgin Mary and serves as a shrine for pregnant women to visit and pray for safe deliveries.

Casting a Shadow. In doing the edits on this I noticed details, such as seeing people on the street, storefront signs, and that someone had written “BEATLES” on one of the building rooftops. One business sign proudly states, “STYLE UNDIES inc. Children’s Lingerie and Sleepwear”.
