Honestly yeah, I don’t ask for much but the latest major version was a big set back for spotlight at the point I installed alfred 🤷♂️ ; does the job 👌

New rustlang themed card game received
Guilty, nice details !
The perfect place to play a rustlang themed card game 👀 🫣 😇
You purist! I get that argument… in practice as a maintainer it’s a ton of work to maintain examples in doc, maybe because my tooling isn’t cooperating though (writing docs isn’t as smooth as writing code cus of comments prefix, setup…)
And as a user I appreciate when rustdoc points me to a usage
Cool, scrape examples is so neat when it works 👍👍🚀
IGN just premiered the exclusive announcement trailer for our game!
My wife and I have spent over 3 years building Fields of Aaru, a cozy life sim set in an ancient Egyptian inspired afterlife. Having IGN reveal it feels surreal.

Its my pleasure to share the date for the next #bevy meetup: https://rustunit.com/bevy-meetup/bevy-meetup-13/ - with three amazing speakers: Doce, Mads and Brian with talks from building engaging UIs, over running Bevy on iOS to better debugging - rsvp, save the date #rustlang #gamedev...
I know! An owned mut in function signature parameter is not relevant for users in API, so I think this should be changed. (&mut is great, but mut i32 is not useful).

Really excited about the performance benefits coming in Bevy for mega-worlds. With all my patches we're starting to be able to render millions of mesh instance entities with hundreds of thousands in view with just a handful of drawcalls.

Thanks @quaternius.bsky.social for those models, they're well versatile and cute!
Social activities at the end is interesting, last year committing to social activities without knowing who was there was a hit or miss ; ended up having fun but didn’t keep much contact with participants ; I look forward to this new format
Making 1 game a day on unfamiliar engines has been interesting to gauge production velocity, should I look into monetization next ? thierryberger.com/games/
Those eyes remond me of that dj using bevy 👍
I was just curious and thought it was a fun thought experiment.
I mean if official maintainers were to come to such a stand the price may be close to this.
Money/time has been spent by bevy volunteers participating in this anyway, it could also be seen as a « donation » to bevy organization.

@bevy.org was at @fosdem.org ; for fun I estimated what it **could** cost in big corporate world, what do you think ? #opensource
Screenshot of a solved grid based logic puzzle of type kings/1-star. A 6x6 grid with 6 different colorful regions is filled with kings in a way that there is exactly one king in every row, column and region. Centered above the grid is a medal icon.
If you are into grid based logic puzzles like me, check out my new #bevy app with Kings (1-star) and Three in a row puzzles.
You can generate new puzzles offline and on the device. No ads or limits on how many puzzles you get per day 🥳

I just released version 0.5 of Avian, an ECS-driven physics engine for @bevy.org.
This is the first update under our new release process, where we publish Bevy version updates separately from feature releases.
As always, an announcement post can be found here:

I have some contracting space opening up. I'll make a different post about it with more details but if you already know what I do and have a project you think I'd be good for feel free to reach out.
I’ll spare some for rust week!

Got more swag for @fosdem.org for @bevy.org enthusiasts :)
