A molecular model of a protein, lit up by different coloured lights, sits inside a shiny globular structure.

This image was made in Blender to show how the protein spectrin fits into the pocket of an enzyme complex known as PP1/Phactr1 while undergoing dephosphorylation.

Dephosphorylation, and the reverse process phosphorylation, are key mechanisms in cell signalling pathways.

True !

I also noticed this, no more spaghettis around a globular domain (AF2) but predicted helices with very bad plddt score (AF3).
This is very confusing for someone who doesn't pay much attention to pLddT scoring!

I'm on Brady's discord channel (blender.science) if this is what you ask for?

I couldn't find one so I made one. Scientists who blend starter pack! Follow all the coolest #b3d science renders! I don't know everyone (or really anyone) so self-nominate and I'll add you in! (Bonus points if you post a cool render) go.bsky.app/S253qJN
