Thanks. Your suggestions for other cloud providers are working out better; thanks again for the info!
Have you been here? The view serves as a reminder of what we are working to protect.
And, a week+ later, I finally hear back from netcups. Seems their identity verification provider rejected my US Passport as valid “proof of existence and identity.”
Thanks!
Hmm, I wonder if I can adopt this for Python.
He definitely also had way more legal experience than Matt Gaetz.
Cool. I'm still waiting several days later.
дякую! Thanks!
Thank you!
Any boutique cloud company I'm missing? Azure, Oracle Cloud, most of AWS and Google aren't worth the effort for my little piddly vanilla servers. So I like boutique providers.
I'm ok with a manual first-time verification process; hover.com has that. But tell me that's the case. Not much chance of language barrier here; ich spreche ein bißchen Deutsch.
I'm not really liking it right now either!🫠
Right now, I'm using a mix of Vultr, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, Linode, and UpCloud VPS instances (all Ubuntu). And DNS from AWS Route 53 and Google Cloud. Tried Kamatera, they stunk. Didn't even offer IPv6 among other stupid issues.
Fair enough; however, to even start the process with netcup, I needed to give them my passport id. I'm guessing an EU thing (I'm in the States)?
So far, netcup's not earning good Marks from me (antique pun intended). Hetzner's a ton easier to work with.
Cool. I'm still waiting. Sent a note to support...
Moving my main discourse to @socials.tahoma.com! Please follow me there. This account will remain as a test bed for various atproto experiments.
I'm launching a new website: sdk.blue - a list of all libraries/SDKs for building things on #ATProto, grouped by language 🙂
If I forgot anything important, or you have an ATProto/Bluesky library that you think would be a good fit there (or if I should remove anything), please send me a PR :) #atdev
It is also shorthand for Intellectual Property.
Or Fast and Furious 1
Indeed!
Yes, I was able to do that fairly easily. A bigger challenge was finding the right spot in a sea of settings to delete threads.
We’re having ongoing conversations with engineers & lawyers and we hope to have more updates to share on this shortly!
Maybe put in a TOS prohibiting use in AI, and adding a public suit mechanism similar to the one in the Clean Water Act.
Thanks! My request might also be in an overnight queue until they open tomorrow im Deutschland. Will report out later.
