4/ This is purely an investment criteria, and mine at that! If what scratches your #ATDev itch is “X, but on ATProto”, you do you!
(Hell, I’ve done it myself with @winesky.app)
But what got us here won’t get us there.

I love exotic websites, so I rewritten my full Go + WASM (via Vecty) personal website (julien.rbrt.fr) to @standard.site lexicons and some custom rendering: tangled.org/julien.rbrt.....
I have to admit it feels way more hacky, but now I can say my website lives on my PDS!

Finally tagged Vow v0.1.0. I have tested it on a few AppViews and it works fine. Having more people testing it would be welcome :) I have put some invite codes in the readme for the test server (vowpds.srv.rbrt.fr).

/rant Turns out Bluesky is the most annoying AppView to get working when developing a new PDS implementation. Surprisingly other AppViews are way easier to integrate and do not rely on constant re-authentication.

#atdev #atproto we need more plain language communication between dev community and general user base. the average casual user does not understand really understand any of what is being built here, even the simplest explanations tend to be too high level for the lay person.

Don't expect your deck's audience has spent more than two seconds thinking about Bluesky or ATProto.
Don't assume any priors.

I've pushed some big updates to atproto-crates, and with them the project has a new home at tangled.org/ngerakines.me/atproto-crates.

Setting aside the X aspect, it is interesting, though not surprising. This basically says dipping your toes into one feed can impact all your other feeds, assuming they are algo based and using similar source data for recs.
