I wonder what The Trade Desk and Patagonia actually pay in taxes in Ventura. Our school district is strapped for money, the buildings are falling apart, and most elementary schools don’t have “specials” teachers. The juxtaposition of wealth & lack of funding for public schools maddening.

I’m not petite, and middle aged; started at a new gym that’s only females. I can’t lift as much as most, but I’m doing it. I’ll build up to higher weight. At my age, it’s form and repetition, resistance/weight—safety. I hope to be like my grandmother who will be 99 next week.
I’m curious as to what this something is we should be doing. I’m honestly asking because nothing has worked so far.

I haven’t seen/heard much of anything about the governor’s race [in SoCal] other than a few MAGA comments about taking back the state.
Now that you mention it, it is odd to me to not be inundated with info. (I come from a purple state; I don’t watch much TV and what I do watch is streamed.) 🤔
I had no idea how lucky I was growing up a few miles from Schmeekle. Having access to natural spaces and beauty was “normal” and I took it for granted. I soak it in whenever I visit.
