The Honourable Murray Sinclair was a Fourth Degree Midewiwin member of the Three Fires Society, a traditional Ojibway medicine society of great significance to the Ojibway people. Sinclair's traditional Ojibway name was Mizanay Gheezhik, meaning "the One Who Speaks of Pictures in the Sky”. Sinclair died at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, on November 4, 2024, at the age of 73. He was a Canadian politician who was a member of the Senate, and a First Nations lawyer who served as chairman of the Indian Residential Schools Truth and Reconciliation Commission from 2009 to 2015. Sinclair served as Manitoba's first Indigenous judge from 1988 to 2009, and in the Senate of Canada from 2016 to 2021.

CDigital artwork of a dragon's neck and head. Its scales are primarily colored a light sky blue, and its spikes and horns are gold. Many of its scales also have bright magenta regions. Its eyes are a shiny black. Its long neck its twisted in a snake-like position, with its head facing left. Its teeth are visible on the outside of its lips, much like crocodile teeth, and its snout is tipped in a bone-like beak structure. Two of its top teeth are especially long and tusk-like, curving outwards from either side of the head. The dragon has 3 pairs of horns, the longest and thickest of which is the highest pair on the back of the head. A thick but short spike, similar in appearance to the horns, is located on the side of the head, near the back of the jaw. 3 rows of spines extend down the creature's neck, and each spine is gold in color, with a magenta base. The center row of spines is significantly taller than the others, and each spine of this row is lobed in the center. Each lobe is patterned with white and purple spots. The dragon's environment is a cloud scene at sunrise. It consists of pastel pinks and pale purples. Some sky blue is also visible at the top of the illustration, and in the rightmost top corner the sky fades to navy blue. In front of the dragon, some pink clouds form a circular shape that frames the creature's face. Below the main artwork, there is a solid navy blue panel with white text on it. A marker, ink, and paint pen drawing of my OC, the Basket Creature, based on a Victorian automaton with an animal in a basket that might be a bunny, or a lamb, whatever, they are beige and furry. They have pink ears, wide open green irised eyes with pinpoint pupils, and an open mouth with their tongue hanging out. They have a round fluffy tail. Their back is turned, they are looking over their right shoulder, and they are lit with a bright light from the left front. Their shadow is dark against the red wall and non-matching red carpet. They are wearing a purple party hat, the cone kind, decorated with shiny purple dots, attached with elastic under their chin. In their shapeless paws they are holding a wand with a gold star. I think they were playing “pretty unicorn princess”, and were caught. The basement door was closed, and everyone agreed never to speak of this again.

John Robert Lewis was an American civil rights activist and politician who served in the United States House of Representatives for Georgia's 5th congressional district from 1987 until his death in 2020. He participated in the 1960 Nashville sit-ins and the Freedom Rides, was the chairman of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) from 1963 to 1966, and was one of the "Big Six" leaders of groups who organized the 1963 March on Washington.
