Topic of conversation on a Friday afternoon in the office: do you know what ambrosia salad is? Surprising number of people did not.

No idea if this will help but my friends say the trick is to cook the rice a day ahead and refrigerate it overnight and then reheat. Tastes the same but doesn’t spike the sugars. I imagine this works for some people and not others but I admit I’m curious

I have fervently hoped for this often

My mom went to work at 7 and we were on own until she got home, which (2 jobs) was sometimes after we went to bed. Kids aged 6-12. We did our own laundry, cooking, dishes, school prep. We went fishing down at the creek, raided gardens for fresh peas, walked for miles. Also read every book we had.

It’s so strange and also so refreshing. Didn’t think I would get into a fandom this thoroughly but the joy of it every day is amazing.

So to resist and unsubscribe, I cancelled our Ama#on Primo acct and joined my sister’s prime club. There’s > 10 friends and relatives that share the acct. Just make your own list and when you move stuff into the cart make sure the credit card and delivery address are correct. It works!
