Tidal's "For You" tab is useless. It used to have at least a few things I enjoyed, now it has literally nothing I listen to. Thankfully that's not how I discover music, but it clutters the app for no reason.

Today is PC clean & update day. I fucked up royally. In the process of cloning a drive, I decided it would be fun to drop it while removing it. RIP. It’s making the clicky doom noises. Taking it for data recovery tomorrow.

On a related note, wiping my windows 10 machine and installing Bazzite. 🐧

My 22mo old daughter waking up early from her nap:

My partner: What made you wake up?

Daughter: Beans.

P: Do you want to eat beans?

D: Yeah.

Ofc she specified she wants Lima beans. She knows what she wants.

A vertical, eye-level landscape photograph captures a snow-capped mountain peak framed by tall pine trees under an overcast, gray sky. In the foreground, a cleared, dirt-covered ground shows signs of recent activity with scattered brown brush and debris. Several medium-sized evergreen trees stand in the mid-ground, leading the eye toward a vast, blue-toned mountain range.
The central focus is a sharp, triangular peak heavily dusted with bright white snow, contrasting against the darker, shadowed ridges of the surrounding mountains. Patches of snow also cling to the lower slopes and ravines. Two large, dark-barked ponderosa pines frame the shot on the left and right, their needle-covered branches reaching into the upper corners of the frame. The overall atmosphere is cool and quiet, suggesting a high-altitude wilderness or a transitional area between a forest and a mountain range.

A female elk (cow) stands alert on a dry, grassy hillside, looking directly at the viewer. She is framed by tall pine tree trunks on the left and a stack of large, natural sandstone rocks on the right. In the background, there is a dense pine forest, a wire mesh fence, and a partial dark metal building panel to the far left. The hindquarters of another elk are partially visible on the far right edge of the frame.

A horizontal photograph captures a large herd of elk gathered on a dry, grassy hillside interspersed with tall ponderosa pine trees. The elk, mostly cows and calves, are scattered across the slope, with many standing alert and looking toward the camera.
In the background, a modern two-story house with large windows and a spacious balcony is nestled among the trees, illustrating the intersection of wildlife and residential areas. The foreground features a simple wire fence and rocky, arid ground covered in dormant bunchgrass. The lighting is soft and overcast, emphasizing the earthy tones of the landscape and the animals' coats.

From our recent trip to Flagstaff. We went so my 2yr old daughter could see snow for the first time before the season ended, we didn't get to see a lot of it, but she loved it none the less.

From 2003 through 2024, the PEPFAR program prevented an estimated 11.0 million cases of tuberculosis and 2.1 million tuberculosis-related deaths.

This administration has been blocking and withholding PEPFAR funds.

The fact that thousands of kids are being bombed while PDF Steve Bannon continues to burden our existence, is pretty high on the list of reasons I will never be religious.

Revocation was seeing into our own future here 🥲

That which consumes all things into its toothless maw
Amorphous, ghoulish miasma
Devouring all lifeforms within its vaporous jaws”

This is so demoralizing. The enormous uphill battle to overcome this level of malice, corruption, and negligence is daunting. The system was broken and these sociopaths are exploiting those shortcomings in plain sight. No remorse, and in fact, it’s the opposite. They wear this as a badge of pride.

A small plush octopus in soft lavender sits on a white tabletop, resting its tentacles around an open sketchbook with colorful scribbles. The octopus has a stitched smile, black bead eyes, and an orange marker stain that looks like 3 claw marks across it's left eye. In the background, a sliding glass door lets in daylight, and kitchen items are faintly visible, giving the scene a cozy, casual feel.

My daughter's octopus, "Pulpo", got a sweet looking tattoo. I was gonna wash it, but it looks kinda bad ass ha!

I keep thinking again, in light of the latest Epstein files dump, about how MeToo “went too far.”

I don't like to talk about stories before they are fully reported, but I am writing on ICE in a Minnesota town that isn't Minneapolis. However bad you think it is, it is worse. It is a campaign of pure terror whose only strategic goal is more terror. There is no strategy other than to break people.

I just got tear gassed along with thousands of union members, many of whom had their families with them. Federal agents at the ICE facility tear gassed children. We must abolish ICE, DHS, and we must have prosecutions. I expect to see enforcement of our city code prohibiting the use of tear gas.

Just experienced the most intense tear gassing of my life by federal officers outside the ICE facility in Portland where marchers gathered. There was no fast exit as they indiscriminately threw loads of gas and flash bangs. Children were in the crowd screaming. @oregoncapitalchronicle.com

This should be said every time ICE is mentioned.

ICE doesn’t de-escalate, it escalates, then runs.

🚨ICE agent pepper-sprays woman after shoving her. Totally unnecessary. Santa Barbara police and paramedics showed up to clean up the mess. ICE already fled the scene.
