I never knowingly started to use Google Photos. Having read this news today, I went to check, and I have photos there! I was likely unknowingly backing them up there. (Have since unticked the back up option.)
Obviously need to delete them and disable the poxy app. I thought I wasn't even using it!

The neurobiology behind this is about needing dopamine for those connections to be established and maintained. Plus a certain way of how the neurons grew during early brain development.
I discovered this about two years ago, when I figured out that 'active remembering' is not what routines are. Some allistic friend then described to me how they dont have any active thoughts about those things. They just deeply encoded into your brain after a certain time of repeats.
It is such an important topic and is not well known by allistic ppl, how far the inability to form routines and habits extends. And how much energy it costs.
And selfcare/cleaning issues can be loaded with shame quickly.
