I just discovered tumblr still has a post limit after not hitting it for at least 8 years all because of hudson williams with his little fan at the oscars

I donβt think we should make concessions to the Masked Murderers Guild of America. I donβt think we should compromise so the Masked Murderers Guild of America stops using kidnapped kids from schools as bait. I thought this was already illegal. The Masked Murderers Guild of America should not exist.
The book "The Thing in the Snow" by Sean Adams, held up in front of an incredibly snow filled front yard
Went very on theme with my snow day read btw #booksky #snowstorm #fern

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING is a most-anticipated book for Reactor, LGBTQ Reads, Nerd Daily, Abigail Nussbaum, and *squints* Men's Health?
OK sure why not. It is, in a way, a book about masculinity, which makes it a little ironic that I had to become a woman to finish it www.menshealth.com/entertainmen...

I made a few posts on β° that the app (for some reason π) didn't want to promote, but I'll try it on here!
Queer Booktok friends- how are we handling the β° tos update? I'm feeling especially gross about the idea of my participation in the app helping border patrol/ICE in any way.

I have returned to BlueSky with crushing seasonal depression and a newfound obsession with Heated Rivalry that could be charged to my insurance
hiiiiiii
I just saw a TikTok where a woman was listening to Edelweiss and said she finally understood how Captain Von Trapp felt. And honestly, same. Excuse me while I go sob into my pillow for an hour.
Got reminded that this acct exists right as I'm spiralling about the future of booktok so hiiiii

Rewarded myself on finally reviewing another handful of arcs by downloading & requesting even more arcs (that's how it works, right?)

I finished btw β¨
A photo of the cover of the book "Monstersona", the bottom partially covered with an unused sheet of black rhinestones, the uncovered part shows a large kaiju-like monster behind a redheaded teen girl. The eye of the kaiju has a yellow-green rhinestone on it, and the top of its head is covered in black rhinestones.
Me, 24 hours ago: book bedazzling is a cute idea but it's a little silly, right? I probably wouldn't be into it haha

A 3D printed bookmark showing the Loch Ness Monster's neck and head sticking out, over top the book A Death in Door County, which shows a very similar image of the Loch Ness Monster.
The sheer euphoria I got from having accidentally 3d printed the perfect bookmark for my current read- it's gonna get me through the week

Hench by Natalie Zina Walschots is well written, steeped in social commentary, fast paced, queer, imaginative, and fun. Itβs also very angry and fiercely feminist.
You root for the found family of super villains.
I thought Hench was very good!

still thinking about that (very good) short story collection I read that was mostly surreal-ish horror except from TWO STORIES that were entirely just about having being turned on by a goth woman and realizing you want to gay kiss your friend while high

Ooh I LOVE that! I wish we could do something like that, I wanna discuss books while holding my pom π
That's so exciting! And I definitely love a good book challenge π₯° We're doing seasonal ones right now, and I'm loving getting to cross stuff out on my Winter sheet
To answer my own question - my favorite things I've done at my library are probably DIY Sprayed Edges, teaching a yarn spinning class, making moss walls, and our huuuuge Pride & Disability Pride displays in June & July π₯³

We love good promotion to the community!
It's Library Lover's Month!! Take a moment to think about (or better tell me!) your favorite thing your library's done π₯°

I'm 100% not willing to jinx it, but.... I think this year may break my 3 year slump of like close to zero star reads.... ππ€

I just saw the 2025 US banned books list. I just want to say, go read books. Talk about them. Share them. And please write them.
While many of these books will still be published, they do become less accessible when removed from libraries
Be a book punk. Read them all

Look up what books are being challenged in your state/area, especially newer titles that may not have as much support for them yet
I hope you like it!
