It has around 1400 hours. When I moved the prints to the corners of the plate, the grinding noise went away, but after cleaning the rods, it still happened in the center with artifacts in the print.

I believe it was wear and tear. Printing a LOT of circular objects in the center of the plate seemed to do it. I never got a maintenance request from the printer to clean the rails, which was what I was expecting at some point!

Don't do it if you don't have to!!! If it's making a grinding noise and you see weird artifacts in your prints, you may have to.

It's a labor of love, I guess.. 🤣

Yeah, it hasn't been super fun. I love to tinker, but this one was a little frustrating. Getting the drive belts out of the print head was a nightmare.
