A rainbow and gold plying tool in the shape of a dragon sits on a kilim style desk mat. It rests on a tuft of sparkly blue fiber. Visible are some crystals, a hag stone, and acorn. Also visible are a number of spindles and Bernard the intrepid mouse statue that is actually a candleholder.

Litcherally could not resist the rainbow plying dragon from @fiberygoodness.bsky.social I'm THRILLED with it. Can't wait to try it out for my spinning adventures!

A warm, moody photo of a desk. In the foreground are supported spindles organized in a Kravelli spindle holder and a pair of over the head headphones. In the background you can see various crafting and desk goods. All of this sits on a desk mat made to look like a kilim rug.

I have such a bad habit of vanishing from all but one of my social platforms, like so frequently. But I updated and reorganized my desk so I have some room to store my beautiful spindles! And display the Kravelli holder my mom got me for the holidays! #fibercrafts #fiberarts

Tbh I'm unsure of the actual name! I got it from a Ukrainian family who does traditional Hutsul weaving and spinning - wanted to try my hand at a new type of spinning!! I am having trouble googling tho

Two batts of wool sit below a large spindle and some double pointed knitting needles. Resting on top of those is a small piece of pine(?) branch. Wrapped around the piece of tree are blue and yellow ribbons for Ukraine as this wool and spindle came from there.

My WovenWoolArt spindle, wool, and needles arrived yesterday! My hand hurts from wrangling a larger #spindle than I'm used to already LOL. Anyone have any tips? Also I want to squish this wool forever!!!

Oh, yeah. I also #bake I hope this is as tasty and well baked as it looks. I struggle with #ryebread still as it's a drier flour. This was mostly bread flour though so... Fingers crossed?🤞

A selfie of the face behind Polaris Stitchcraft. Missy is wearing a crown of woven art yarn. Nestled within the crown are felt flowers and felt critters. Among those critters are a nesting pair of cardinals, a hedgehog, and Missy Snelliot the snail. On either side of the crown are 3D printed sheep horns.

A wild Missy appears! My spring time flower fiber crown is completed! I stitched on the little critters this morning and I'm so pleased with it. Peep those sheep horns on the sides! #fiberart #fibercraft #weaving

An embroidery hoop in a frame, the quote stitched in green wool says "I won't let fear compromise who I am." The quote is from the Paragon route Commander Shepard from Mass Effect 2. On the frame sits a gilded ear hanger that looks like a crown skull. In the upper right corner of the picture is a pin that says Queer Space. In the upper left corner is a drop spindle top that has soot sprites from Studio Ghibli in the resin.

I did a small #embroidery project to set myself a reminder. Be strong and be true to myself in the face of what's to come. The quote is from Mass Effect 2, Paragon Commander Shepard. It's hastily put together and needs embellishment. But it's a start. #queerfutures #queerartists

A reed hook sits on the castle of a Harrisville Designs loom. Under it is a plaque that says Sigourney Weaver, the looms name. In the right corner you see a bench at the back of the loom, covered with a sheepskin pad.

I am spending some quality time with Sigourney today. After the #weaving workshop I took I feel like I can approximate my way through saving this warp. Hopefully. A nice distraction for sure. #harrisvilledesigns #loom #weavingloom

An intrepid mini felted snail goes on an adventure over roving and mushroom bookmarks. In the background is visible a backstap look heddle, the top of a supported spindle that looks like a matryoshka. Below our snail friend are numerous swirls of brown and beigey grey roving.

In addition to being a jack and/or Jill of all fiber arts I can get my grubby hands on. I also really really love photography. I love setting scenes and taking the photos, running them through filters, etc. I've been told that many of my scenes look like the old I Spy books from my childhood.

If you need trouble shooting tips for the uptake a lot of it comes down to playing with the tension knob and making sure that - like another commenter said - the uptake is happening. It takes some fiddling!

My little weaving buddy, Bernard, is off on an adventure across my first ever woven piece of fabric. The class on Saturday helped inspire me to re-warp Sigourney. Who has been languishing bc carpet beetles are evil and bc I taught myself how to warp it. Naturally, the wrong way. LOL

A Harrisville Designs 4 shaft loom sits in the corner of a room next to a window with open curtains. In front of the warped loom is a stool with a sheepskin and a few linen covered journals.

After that #weaving class I have Ideas for how to fix the warp in Sigourney, it'll be nerve wracking but I have faith in my ability to approximate my way through most catastrophes! #fiberarts #fibercrafts #weaver

A small sample of weaving. One section of plain weave, two different color sections of lightning twill weave, and one of a pink and blue basket weave.

I took a learn to weave workshop with my local-ish guild yesterday. Loved every second of it. I have the basics down but wanted to learn from someone since I'm 98% self taught in everything I have learned. I really enjoyed lightning twill weave! Pattern reading here I come!

A moody and dark photo of a flyer from a 1700s flax wheel. On it are two puffs of natural white wool. The bobbin has a decent amount of wool spun on it.

Just got the email that my local library will let me bring my #spindles to craft night! I'll work up to bringing one of my #spinningwheels eventually. So here's a picture of my wheel from the 1700s - Guinevere. Named as such bc that drive band is baking twine from King Arthur Baking lmfao

Spent a chunk of the evening forgetting about making dinner for myself and just spun instead. This #spinningwheel is an #ashfordelizabeth from the 80s. As far as I know I'm the second to own her, first to paint her and name her Lenka!
