Dear *Scientific Reports*, While my paper has been waiting 6 months with just one reviewer, I've reviewed 5+ papers for you. Just letting you, and anyone who consider submitting with you, know.

We’re looking for clinicians and researchers in #physiotherapy and #sportsmed who’d like to integrate markerless motion capture and analysis to their work.
It’s for a chat and free access to our app, not a sales pitch.

1️⃣ 40Hz
MicroFET2 a 100HZ i think.
VALD have some with 225 Hz and 1,200 Hz.
(We have both the MicroFET2 and Lafayette in the lab, no peaking here😅)

How much information we miss with 40hz is a great question!

Room for more: Field-based studies Equipment analysis - Diverse populations - Larger samples

Most studies are lab-based Running (n=45), cutting (n=25), and jumping/landing (n=18) most common. Limited studies on sports equipment effects. - Mainly young adult participants. - Common injuries studied: ACL rupture (n=21), chronic ankle instability (n=18)

We recently published a scoping systematic review where we reviewed 165 studies using Statistical Parametric Mapping (SPM1d) to analyze lower limb biomechanics in sports. SPM1d lets researchers study the full movementrather than just discrete points

Beyond min/max biomechanics!

We reviewed 165 studies using SPM1d in sports biomechanics. SPM1d analyzes full movements, not just peaks.

Literature still lacks: field studies, bigger samples and
diverse populations

A 3D Adapter for Rate of Force Development Measurement with microFET®2 Dynamometer A 3D Adapter connecting to a microFET®2 dynamometer and a 2’’ Heavy Duty Tow Strap in order to measure force and Rate of Force Development (RFD).

Trying to be as open about our process :

1. The 3d file for the adapter is available here

New paper alert!

We developed a reliable method to measure knee strength & rate of force development using a handheld dynamometer + 3D printed adapter (free online). Makes reliable muscle testing more accessible for clinics & labs.

Feeds are the next cool thing on here, right? 😁

So I made a Sports & Exercise Research Feed: bsky.app/profile/did:...

If I didn’t mess up, it’ll pull posts with #SportScience, #ExerciseScience, or #PhysicalActivity and show in one feed.

Fingers crossed this makes finding and sharing easier! 🤞

6. Custom feeds on Bluesky are the first implementation of algorithmic choice. Instead of using a single black-box For You algorithm, you can create and subscribe to your own.

Now, there are over 50k+ custom feeds on the network! Check them out:

Our Jefferson curls study is slowly progressing!

We are looking at kinematics and sEMG of the back, hamstrings, and glutes during sub-maximal Jefferson curl versus Romanian deadlift.

Participants so far reached up to 102kg Jefferson💪🏻
Stay tuned!

New project updates!
Using BIOPAC, we're collecting synchronized 12-lead ECG & PPG data.

Me and chatgpt built a Python + PyQt6 app for signal visualization, HR/HRV analysis, and ECG grid display. Future steps: filtering, peak detection, and CSV export. Let's connect! #DataAnalysis #ECG #PPG
