Black Woodpecker near Kalmar, southern Sweden.

Lots of White-tailed Eagles around Kalmar, Southern Sweden, with several loafing around on the sea ice.

First day in Sweden, and it's cold. A random stop at a frozen lake found a big flock of mainly Taiga Bean Geese with a White-tailed Eagle causing occasional havoc!

On Saturday (18 January 2025) the Cornwall Booted Eagle spent lots of time perched. This gave many people a good opportunity to scope the bird.

The Kentish is showing now on Stert Island, so it’s possible to do the Somerset Kentish Baikal double!

I can only assume these fake followers have bad intentions. We’ll see.

Lots of new followers who are obviously bots or fake or a combination of the two.

I’ve been on here a few weeks only, and so far my limited experience is worse than many, many years on the other site. A shame as I was told good things.
