Big news! I'm heading to the National Humanities Center as the next president. I'm proud to be the first woman, the first Black person, and the first person of color to lead it. Honored to start this new chapter. #Humanities #BlackWomenLead #BlackSky

Yesterday we welcomed Sasha Turner, former Richards Center postdoc, back to PSU as the History Graduate Student Association spring speaker! Her great talk was followed by a reception hosted by the Center. Pictured below is the HGSA board, including Richards Center grad affiliates, with Dr. Turner. 🧵

I often hear about "crappy first drafts," but...

...APPRECIATE your first drafts. They are the icebreakers and path-openers, ferocious, raw and daring to forge ahead.

Later, tweak them to make them better.

Instead of thinking of "crappy", think "icebreaking."

Quit fighting yourself!
