An abstracted landscape inspired by hikes in the Columbia River Gorge The gorge is moody, misty, windy, tempestuous. Landslides, rock fall, blowdown, fire. Tall cliffs and deep chasms. Waterfalls and boulders. It inspired an entire series of paintings some time back, and continues its influence in much if my abstract work today. And it is one of the most magical, mysterious and challenging places to hike.😁
