SC administration of 2g ceftriaxone appears to be well tolerated with favourable PK parameters in non-critically ill patients with severe infections.

Hopeful that this will add to the growing body of literature that normalise the use of SC antibiotics for some patients.

Our findings support the utility of histopathological analysis whilst also demonstrating a high rate of discordance between histopathology and microbiology.
