The decision to cancel it while continuing to hemorrhage cheap, exploitative "documentaries" aimed at filling as much runtime as possible was the final nail for me. I quit Netflix in their race to the bottom

Or you look at something like Fury Road: heavy on practical effects and stunts, mostly all planned out in advance with intensive storyboarding, and looks just as good or better than many bloated “everything green-screened and edited 100 times” blockbusters

More broadly, VFX bloat is at least 90% a result of poor planning, poor management , and execs/leads generallu treating artists and studios like a black box they email to receive infinite executions, revisions and costly minor variations around the clock and on demand

What really gets me besides the obvious rich ass trying to not pay skilled talent is YOU. MADE. YOUR. MOVIES. FUCKING. VFX HEAVY, MY GUY. YOU DID THIS. THIS WAS YOU FROM THE BEGINNING. YOU MADE YOUR OWN PROJECT EXPENSIVE. YOU GREEDY BITCH. NEXT TIME MAKE A MOVIE IN YOUR BACKYARD.
