Let's see how many of those red wall "hero voters" suddenly decide Labour are better than RefUK.

Well let's see how this strategy of telling "white liberals" to "fuck right off" works out in the local elections
The thing is, there are also "legitimate concerns" about her policies pandering to racists. Biden had one job, to stop Trump's second term. He failed. Labour's job is stop a Reform led government. They're doing the opposite.
Exactly and I am sick of being asked to legitimise the "concerns" of people who in my personal experience always descend into xenophobia and racism.
The idea that being *a member of the House of Lords* in any way means you can be trusted with Top Secret/STRAP material without proper vetting is so beyond absurd that this must surely be a joke?
Totally agree and am a bit shocked they aren't tbh. They have access to information which the person on the street doesn't. At the very least we should be making sure they aren't in the pay of hostile foreign powers or murky think tanks etc.
The bluebells in Wensleydale are one of my favourite times in the year. Sure we all have our favourite place, mine is the little wood below Castle Bolton.
Good.
Wonder if any was coming to the UK and funding the usual subjects/dodgy think-tanks.
Not defending Starmer as I said at the time Mandelson was a huge error of judgement, but this Anderson... pot calling kettle comes to mind.
No, I am saying what you are saying.
Thanks. It makes sense for people like students.
I am currently on a FB thread correcting people saying we would have always had to do the EES as we were never in the Schengen zone. The level of (wilful?) ignorance is astounding. The UK will sleepwalk into a Reform Govt at this rate.
I would say no as you would be on the electoral roll twice, so in theory would be able to vote twice in GEs and locals, but that's just an opinion.
This would be an absolutely vile thing to do. We are so much better than this. Please donโt ever vote for Reform!
A reminder that Reform UK policy is that ILR will be abolished and anyone currently on ILR will be deported if they fail to reach/remain at a certain income or if they fail to reach a certain level of English that's much higher than today's requirements.

Great thread. Thanks to Tony. Very clear and useful.
EU: The European Union will require sale of mobile phones with โuser-replaceable and longer-lasting batteriesโ starting in 2027.
The regulation demands โavailability of spare parts and manuals for 10 years to curb planned obsolescenceโ.
Can't believe I didn't include it! You are ofc right.
Tice is a right-wing middle-class politician, of course different rules apply...
Brexit. British Exit from the EU. But also stands in my mind for British Exceptionalism. That of being as a country so different to say France or Germany or any other that we couldn't really be happy members of a bloc.
Which was always nonsense.
Totally this: Brexit=British Exceptionalism
Come on - upstanding pillars of the community aren't flocking to stand as Reform candidates. They're getting exactly the type of person their vile views resonate with.
Man of the people - don't make me laugh.
Shocker: Now that the gravy train is over, Rod Dreher is abruptly fleeing Budapest, taking the intellectual scruples he's famous for with him.
This.
I think the key word there is "decency" and Tice has just confirmed he is the type of person we believed he was.
