I didn't write my first book until I was 31. I now have over 30 novels and dozens of comics in print. Do you know how old you will be by the time you write that book of your heart? The same age you would be if you didn't write it, but YOU WROTE A BOOK. It's never too late.

I can't move, even to reach things in bed, and it sucks

I was always an A-type, power through, top of the class kind of person. I was all fury and fight

Disability turns you into something different entirely. If I push, I pay dearly. Needing to do things & being helpless to do them feels horrible

The urge to join bird identification groups and comment “that’s a big pigeon” on every post is never too far away

Keep querying until you run out of agents, or you run out of steam. Ignore the "you should shelve your book after x queries" crowd. #amquerying #writingcommunity #writers
