Rob has won awards for his documentary films, including Oscars. He won his second in 1990 for Common Threads: Stories from the Quilt, which told the story of the US AIDS Memorial quilt.

Over 10k people took to Paros' streets in a march organised by the ComitΓ© d'urgence anti-rΓ©pression homosexuelle.
This pioneering protest was a real turning point for LGBTQIA+ rights and activism in France and led to Paris Pride.
