Happy Spring Equinox / Ostara to all who celebrate the cycles of nature. This year it coincides with the end of the month of Ramadan for Muslim neighbours and friends, so Eid Mubarak too. 🙏🏻

At the time we were putting together the #MarineBill back in 2009, adding in #coastal access added delay and we grumbled at the inclusion - but with the opening of the King Charles III Coastal Path we can see the fruits of the legislation.

A peaceful morning on a hillside overlooking the Usk Valley planting #sequoia with ‘The Great Reserve’ team. Will help offset my carbon footprint, & by co-planting with oak & other native species enhance biodiversity in Cymru.

@saltwatersteve.bsky.social, Seabed 2030’s Head of Partnerships, is in Portugal’s capital for #SubOptic2025, a weeklong showcase for the subsea cable industry - a sector very active in global seabed mapping.

Walking in the Elan Valley earlier this week - water levels looking very low in the reservoirs, a mix of lack of rainfall, and planned engineering work.
The UK really does need to build more water storage infrastructure as rainfall patterns change and the whole place warms up.
