Two bills just reached the Governor's desk: SB 608 to support family and kinship caregivers (urging signature), and HB 348 which adds burdensome paperwork to emergency welfare assistance (urging veto).
In committee this week: children's behavioral health coverage (SB 498), a free prescription discount card (SB 647), banning recreational nitrous oxide (HB 1630), and a proposal to remove Hep B from the school vaccine schedule (HB 1719) — oppose that last one.
📅 Thursday 4/23: House votes on two bills to close loopholes that let companies sell addictive products to youth — one targeting certain hemp-derived products (SB 624), the other an opioid-like substance with zero current age restrictions in NH (SB 557). Both had strong bipartisan committee support.
📅 Tuesday 4/21: Senate hearing on HB 1195 — a bill to remove zoning barriers blocking family child care providers. It already passed the House. Sign in to support before the hearing!
