#Soudan. Avec l’intensification de l’utilisation des drones, la guerre civile gagne des régions jusque-là épargnées par leur isolement, comme dans le #Kordofan du Sud, où s'est déplacée la ligne de front. @afriquexxi.bsky.social

That must have been quite the trip. Not wanting to downplay all the challenges these countries face today, they managed a very positive evolution that Africa is still struggling.

The fact that Africans have way more trouble putting food on the table than 10 years ago is a cause profound of concern.

1 week ago 2 0 0 0

Also worth noting that until the 1970s, India was far ahead of Africa in hunger statistics, which speaks volumes of the evolution in the country in the last 50 years.

More interesting is perhaps the fact that the Middle East overtook Africa in hunger statistics in the last 10 years. This gap will only widen with the ongoing cycle of vicious wars.

I traveled to the Nuba Mountains with @guypeterson.bsky.social 📸 to document how foreign powers are shaping Sudan's war while civilians pay the price. Read our story in @prospectmagazine.co.uk, with thanks to @pulitzercenter.org for the support!

Can a university exist without historians? A question asked by this clip. This is an ominous trend in American university education & it is not disconnected from the current political times. Less history= more authoritarianism t.co/qomAef8ooS
