Also, UK death/thrash metal band Cancer is playing Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore starting a month from today. History really does repeat itself, first as tragedy, then as mosh pit
The Columbine massacre was on this date in 1999. Instead of energizing our country to get gun violence under control, it kicked off a new normal. One of the best explanations ever of journalism's destructive impact on mass shootings came from Roger Ebert in his review of Gus Van Sant’s “Elephant.”
Gonna spend the next two years spamming every elected Dem about the concept of "damnatio memoriae." Chisel his name off every inscription. Build over the various Trump Towers like they're Nero's Golden House. Remove him from physical memory, not to forget but as a sign of disrespect to the man.
The Buffalo Sabres have a chance to have a more recent playoff win than the Orioles by the end of the night. The BUFFALO SABRES.
Oh, I saw this movie in orange and black last year. It's not time to panic just yet. But May 15? SMASH THAT PANIC BUTTON.
Poll: Is your baseball team good rn?
Like for no. Repost for no. Reply for no.
Baseball is the best
I cannot recommend them enough to see live. Just an awesome party, feel-good vibe (with mosh pits). Haven’t felt a crowd vibe like that since peak ETID around 2017.
It was DRAIN!
I think? I hope so.
In my wrestling peeps group chat, we decided it needs to be called AEW: Blood Money. Also, they need to run it at UBS Arena on Long Island and main event with MJF.
Bianca Belair reveals that she's pregnant.
Congrats to Montez Ford and Bianca

Jon Bois @jonbois.bsky.social holy shit. i was just watching the cavs-raptors game and the ball fell out of the bottom of the basket. it was with 4:04 left in the second quarter if you can get your hands on a replay. the guy shot the ball, it went through the hoop, and then it straight up fell out of the net and onto the floor 2:11 PM • Apr 18, 2026 Everybody can reply v 57 reposts 6 quotes 6 quotes 814 likes 4 saves

I do like Sysco's baked ziti. You know it's a decent coaches' room at a HS wrestling tournament when you see the thin aluminum pan with good ol' Sysco baked ziti. It's not great, but you're not gonna go hungry.
Oddly grateful for oldass tech companies like SAP who have done ads during sports my whole life and I still have no fucking idea what they do
I was impressed to see DRAIN played this weekend. The are soooooooo good live.
But, he's also the one with the most experience with ABS challenges, being in the minors until late August last year.
Leave average is 60% for catchers, iirc. Sam's 4-for-11, I believe
www.shadedseats.com/t-mobile-par... will tell you
Arena naming rights aren't a good place to look for ethics but I feel like the NBA spectrum goes from Lakers at Crypto, the fake scam money for bribery and crimes, to Denver playing at Ball, the makers of high quality jars for fermentation, canning, and other home food preservation.
I have no idea why that image attached
If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered in mind, what is an empty desk?
A black and white photo of Einstein’s desk, blackboard, and bookshelves after he passed away. Journals, magazine, and papers are strewn over the desk and shelves. A few of the shelves are organized, but mostly they contain haphazard, listing stacks that seem like they could fall over at any moment. The desk is a beautiful disaster, with papers and journals covering every inch. A pot for tobacco, a small glass jar, and Einstein’s pipe sit near the middle. The dark leather chair is pushed back slightly from the desk. The blackboard is sectioned off into several different regions, each of which contains one or more boxed formulas from whatever Einstein was working on when he fell ill.
Albert Einstein passed away #OTD in 1955 due to complications from a ruptured abdominal aneurysm.
Doctors recommended surgical intervention but Einstein declined, saying “I have done my share; it is time to go. I will do it elegantly."
Here is his office as he left it. 🧪 ⚛️

The MLB-approved statement the teams’ broadcasters are reading about Jackie Robinson Day is an embarrassment. Jackie didn’t face “adversity” — he faced loud, violent, entrenched racism. He integrated baseball & saved it from collapsing in on itself. Say that.
