I chose to self-publish because I'm a control freak 😂 I love being in control of who designs my cover and what goes on it, who does the interior formatting, who creates my maps etc. Yes, the marketing is hard, but at least if something doesn't work it's *my* fault and I can fix it.

It really would! We struggled to just give our cat medication, never mind holding her still to brush her teeth without her freaking out. You'd need to have the chillest cat ever to not make a fuss.

I remember our vet saying that pet insurance deems it perfectly reasonable to regularly brush your cat's teeth, therefore cat dental care is considered preventable. Clearly whoever decided that has never tried to brush a cat's teeth twice a day every day before, or even just once.

This weekend marks the 18th anniversary of me leaving Germany and moving to the UK! Which means I'll officially have lived here longer than I've ever lived over there 🤯🥳 Odd to think I've been writing and self-publishing for most of that, too!

It can be so surprisingly difficult! When I was younger I was actually kinda sad they weren't bigger, but I'm quite glad now. Something something wisdom and age 😅 It doesn't get that hot here that often, either, but the humidity isn't helping.

Favourite blankets are VERY important! When I got our cat a new bed, she wouldn't even look at it because I guess it smelled of packaging to her. I had to sit on it for a few days to make it smell of her human before she considered it 😂
