I've always found getting the colours right in nighttime shots pretty difficult. Every light source is a slightly different colour, so sometimes there's no obvious way to balance them out.

This is a beetle in the genus Ellychnia, which is actually a kind of firefly - but since they're diurnal instead of nocturnal, they don't need to glow like other fireflies. Thanks @origamiseagull.bsky.social for finding and helping ID this!

Getting the millipede while it was sitting still was probably the most difficult part of this - it kept running around and making my photos blurry.

This was my first real project learning to use ZBrush and Substance Painter, from a few years ago. These are re-renders - I re-did the materials for the eyes, improved the lighting, and edited them in Lightroom.

I converted a Lumix FZ35 to shoot infrared by taking it apart and removing the IR filter that blocks it out in most cameras. This is the result - with only minimal editing to correct the white balance in lightroom.
