Optimal Treatment for Drug-Induced Cancer Persisters Involves Release Periods and Intermediate Drug Doses Extending persistence modeling to drug-induced, dose-dependent cancer persistence reveals that strategic drug holidays and reduced doses can improve long-term treatment outcomes.

Our work on optimal treatment in presence of cancer persisters is out today in @prxlife.bsky.social 🎉

Alternated drug-release periods may be an advantage due to dose-dependent transition rates and slow death of persisters

Just out on bioRxiv - spcg collab with Piel lab: growing mammalian cells use two independent systems — one controlling volume, one driving protein synthesis — to control macromolecular density.

Together, they restore dry mass density homeostasis.

Spcg preprint with Bertotti lab and @litinice.bsky.social. It took >5y but proud to say it works—and we know why and how. μSeq infers mutation rates from deep sequencing of single clonal expansions, >10x faster than MALs. Validated in cancer organoids and in yeast.
