[Retired Ichthyologist alert] These are fantastic fishes! AFAIK they're the only fish species that is both electric and venomous. They can generate around 50 volts of electricity from modified eye muscles. Enough to stun prey and to make humans say "Ow!" They also have cool lure - here's a pic.

Just a few more Isle of May Puffins from this morning (why not). Interestingly they headed out to sea this afternoon probably to feed when the weather calmed.

It was very rookery-like. There were hundreds of them perching in trees and bushes. Quite a few males with the red gular pouch. I was in a small boat so this is one of the few pictures that didn't come out all wonky.
