The Dark Tower in Scorpius Here is a new one of this in my opinion very beautiful object. I did it two years ago but it was just a short RGB under not so good seeing conditions. This time I went for a LRGB especially because there is a lot of reflection nebulosity, and the seeing was pretty good as well. Hope you like it. James Webb's NIRCam unveils a breathtaking vista of NGC 2070 (Tarantula Nebula) in the Large Magellanic Cloud. Glowing red, pink, and orange tendrils of gas dominate the scene, sculpted by powerful winds and radiation from young, massive stars hidden within. These behemoths remain unseen, but their influence is undeniable. Scattered across the nebula are brilliant blue-white stars, residents of our own galaxy that lie in the foreground. Darker regions hint at cooler pockets of dust, potentially harboring embryonic stars waiting to ignite. This near-infrared view allows astronomers to peer through the dusty veil, revealing the dynamic processes at play within this prolific star-forming factory.
