Today I was feeling stressed, overwhelmed, sad, and hormonal. My partner recognised this, so bundled me into the van and took me to the beach where I could go hunting for nice pebbles like a little beach goblin.

I feel better :) I have come home with skyrie and hag stones.

Today we have miso monkfish stew with tatties, fennel bulb, and leeks - seasonal and delicious!

Making loads of whiskey sours and calling it "hitting my macros" cause of the high protein in the egg white 💪 😎

My favourite thing about April? Wild garlic season!! 🌱

Connecting with the land can be done in many ways - sometimes it is simply walking up one of the highest peaks in the area and seeing your home spread out beneath you in all directions ☀️

That's a really helpful way to look at it - and also prompted me to remember how much better I was at meditation when I did yoga!

Gentle reminder: when you buy locally, you're not just getting a purchased item or service. You're getting:

- A human's attention
- That human's labor in curating a selection
- Choosing from the full selection
- An opportunity to inspect the item/work
- Customer service from a human

...and more.

During lockdown I used to do little rituals every day, and I've never been able to rebuild the habit since going back to full time work. Anyone got any advice for how to develop this again? I'd love to be able to do a small ritual every morning before leaving for work...

I can't believe I'm waking up to the sound of songbirds! I could never hear them from my old rented place, and I haven't heard them in the morning since I lived with my parents. I'm actually quite emotional that I have my own home and I can hear a blackbird in the garden in the morning 😭 🐦

While decluttering I found a stick I picked up over 5 years ago at the ancient abandoned settlement near tullymurdoch. Today it has become a pretty piece to hang my necklaces!
