Looking from the moving vehicle across the roadside ditch on an overcast day with a light coating of fresh snow. In the centre, dark melt water follows the line of the ditch, looking like a canal or stream. On the other side is a fenced pasture or crop field with low golden grass/stubble poking through the snow and a narrow fenced driveway or oil lease access road. A line of bare grey poplars and a pool of melt water mark the far side of the field.
Angling across from lower left to mid right, a dense growth of low willows grows just below the embankment of a snowy country road which we can see just a bit of at lower right. The willows are densely coated in frost (ice fog) and snow in front of a mostly overcast sky with a bright blue clear band in the middle.
Looking across a wide field, the variable pale gold grey stubble loosely striped from the lines of harvesting. Near the far side we can see a pool of melt water and farther still is an extensive area of mixed forest, with many youngish tamaracks/larch in a wetland area near front/centre and more larger spruce and poplar farther back still. All the trees are heavily coated in frost and recent light snow. The sky above is a flat blue-grey with a bit of sun coming from behind the viewer, highlighting the centre of the line of trees.
more views from the same couple of days, driving to work; a mix of melting days + new snow (again today) but this is the time of year when we get ditches and fields full of water- love it :)

Across that on the left are high lines of mounded soil surrounding a recently expanded oil well installation with an orange stained white vertical tank on the left, a black orange tipped pump right of centre and another white tank. To the right of that bare poplars trees heavily coated in frost and recent light snow catch a bit of sun in front of a flat blue-grey sky, and distant frosted mixed woods. To the left in front an orange and red diamond shaped stop ahead sign lines up with and echoes the colours of the oil installation.
A roadside ditch with faded dry grass and strips of remnant snow gives way to a cloud shaded pasture with the same dry grass and patches of snow over slight hills sloping to left and right. Farther back a couple more fences and another pasture with golden dry grass brightly lit by sun coming through a gap in the clouds. To the right of that field is a long open sided shed with black group against large heavily frosted spruce trees. The sky beyond is slate blue-grey overcast.
