That's lovely! I have a couple of yarns that would definitely get gauge for that one. I could make this work with math though.

Thank you! Not generally my colors (too pink and pastel) but for some reason I love it and had to have it!
I already have SABLE so I'm actually trying to use stash as much as possible. Last time I updated my spreadsheet I had enough yarn to knit 150 sweaters. That was 12 years ago, and I haven't stopped buying sweater quantities. 1600 yards of worsted weight is plenty for a sweater!
2 skeins of Malabrigo Rios in the Arco Iris colorway - greens, purples, teal, pink, yellow, gold - pretty much every color in a subdued palette. The skeins are tied with white string. it's hand dyed in small batches so the skeins I actually have will be slightly different, however the color runs are short.
I have about 1600 to 1800 yards of Malabrigo Rios Arco Iris, worsted weight. I want to knit a sweater, but it needs to be rather plainer than the cabled designs I'd planned on knitting next but it can't be so plain that I'm bored to tears. Suggestions? π§Ά
...unsettling. SO had already retired, so he was rather at loose ends. Worked with the contractor some, built raised garden beds, discovered the lost path to the river, cooked many meals in our make-shift kitchen - almost 8 months to complete. Looked at my knitting a lot, didn't knit.
...often nightly for months. I worked 55 to 80 hour weeks for almost a year, as did most of my team. We all had the capability to work from home initially, but within 3 weeks the bank had added 200,000 employees to the WFH infrastructure (my teams also worked on that). It was exhausting and...

No extra crafting because of all the new financial programs for small businesses. My teams were involved in developing the software and delivering the new online application processes...
We had moved from SF to NH in August 2019, didn't really know anyone yet. Contractors had been working on the house since October and we tore out the kitchen and adjacent areas the first week of March. Ended up choosing granite countertops, hardwood flooring, and cabinets from photos. Continued...
Her name is Connie Ballmer, and that's how I saw this article headlined everywhere else yesterday. She's fairly well-known in philanthropy circles, particularly NPR.
I never could comfortably wear Nikes. New Balance is better, but Brooks are my athletic (ha!) shoe of choice.
I'm so sorry
I like RoTel, but not everyone does. Also onions.

Elizabeth Warren needs to explain her support for Graham Platner in Maine. He's not a serious candidate, unless a different version of Susan Collins is the goal.
It's rained all day - cold, Grau, dreary heavy rain. Now we have snow or wintry mix predicted for a couple of hours.
So glad I didn't/never will plant my garden until Mother's Day, at the earliest. More likely, Memorial Day weekend.
One can hope! My sister loved it when we were kids and I understand she still watches it regularly. I disliked it from day 1.
We use toothpaste and mouthwash with fluoride, as recommended by our dentist. Standard for their practice because so many homes here are on well water.
Someone wasn't paying attention. HEB had frozen kosher meat more than 15 years ago! We were always pleasantly surprised when we visited and checked their stock.
I'll still do no-mow May even though my neighbor started his 3x weekly mowing on Thursday. I can't even...
Took my parents years to admit they needed them, and then they were astonished what a difference it made!
...won't cover just 1 ear! He won't spend the $100k to pay for it because it doesn't bother him (of course it doesn't) that much. I hope when he sees the hearing specialist and ENT this fall they suggest a hearing aid for the good ear. Until yarn I'll get his attention someone and shout. π
At some point, when he admits that the hearing in his good ear needs help. Sadly, he had a virus about 3 years ago that he thought was no big deal, but it caused him to become profoundly deaf in one ear, which means hearing aids can't help it at all. A cochlear implant would perhaps, Medicare ...
...because he wasn't paying attention and the words weren't "important" to him personally - also maybe hearing issue? I'm exhausted, have a list of additional appts to make. Glad I went - he always says "everything is fine, Dr didn't say anything new".
...I finally asked him how he feels about dialysis or kidney transplants. Dr says he didn't want to scare him, but yes. SO decides he'll take the med. Said his hearing is fine, despite the fact that he wasn't responding to questions because he didn't hear them. Missed the "3 words" Medicare test...
SO had a Dr appt this morning; so frustrated - he is like a sullen teenager sometimes! Dr wants to put him on a new-to-him (old and safe) med to slow/stop kidney failure caused by his taking double doses of a diabetes med. SO says he doesn't want to take more meds, Dr reasons with him. No dice...
One more busy day this week and then the weekend - I didn't think weekends would still be the goal after I retired! It's been good - but there's been at least one appointment or activity every day; a couple of quiet days will be welcome.
Cricket, grasshopper, luna moth, lady bug, doodlebug. Lots of others.
Sage green wool sweater with random cables all over.
Favorite cable knit - Cables After Whiskey by Lucy Neatby. I will be making another because this yarn pills like made - it's now relegated to wearing around the house only! #ShowMeYourKnits
Fulltime housekeeper/cook/laundry person because I am not good at doing that stuff. I know how to do it, I can do it acceptably well but I absolutely resent that I have to do it.
