Yeah parkrun has been incredibly sound to this point

It’s also evidence that the preliminary work is being completed on enough of us that any day could be the day that any of us wakes up to discover that we are the latest Lucy Meadows or Dr Beth Upton.

Im really sorry, that sucks.

And to be clear mine is fine. I’m just one of many on a website.

It’s a fun game really. How long can you spend talking to a trans woman with any kind of profile before you get the details of her personal harassment campaign?

The fear of knowing that I am being watched. Again, this is something that i expect to happen. My posts will of course be used against me in a disciplinary way, and there are various groups of people who will find it useful to occasionally remind me of that fact.

Being a platformed trans woman in the UK of course means that this is inevitable, as this is a fascist society. But I can’t say I really think about it other than when it occasionally becomes good content for a post.

I haven’t checked how regularly the data is updated, but as of about a year ago they had all my event entries and all of my parkruns. Which is clearly only something that would happen if I had either a colleague or a social media follower who had decided to shop me to the gender gestapo.

Also there’s a website by and for bigots that records my parkrun results, so to them I say: good morning. I hope you’re going to put the evidence of my declining athletic performance as I continue to have a body that runs on E to good and ethical scientific use.

I do parkrun every week, and I agree with every word of this, albeit probably not in the way that a Times columnist would intend.

I think that everything everyone has said here, including you, is clearly correct. I think that one thing those of us who are well established in our careers need to think about is what this means for who gets to produce knowledge, and what we can do to widen that out beyond the traditional academy.

I think that in outline there’s something there, but I worry that it could leave untouched the anti-intersectional, anti-solidaristic logic of FWS. FWS permits me to self-ID as ‘trans’, but previously I was at law trans and a woman and gay. My equality category is now too small to be helpful at law.

Not the wanking bit, though.

And your priest has to give you a letter about how you wank, to be submitted to a panel of other religious leaders and some judges.

Full sympathy for anyone who finds their job incredibly stressful of course, but someone should probably be having a quiet word with the Home Secretary.

Text reads: The International Olympic Committee’s recent decision to reintroduce ‘sex testing’ for athletes is more likely to exclude women identified as female at birth than trans women, experts have said, as opposition to the policy change grows.
Athletes, governments and experts have been objecting to the genetic sex testing that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) plans to reintroduce – including the scientist who originally identified the SRY gene that the tests check for.

The UK Trans Experience: you can be arbitrarily included in a lawsuit that has nothing to do with you, be included in national coverage and have dozens of articles written about you, be found innocent of everything and still have journalists follow you to different countries to call you a pervert

Are they corrections or are they updates? Yes, absolutely.

15 hours ago 4 0 0 0

Oh I’d love to read it when it’s available. I’m working on updates to my article that reads FWS and trans employment together, and clearly I need to be able to engage with the more recent judicial violence without simply going AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Has anyone published an analysis of the tribunal judge’s decision that Dr Beth Upton had neither need nor legitimate expectation of anonymity? Obviously I’m very angry like the rest of us about this decision’s reckless violence, but has anyone done a calm legal read of it?

'If a freedom is needed to support education, it is academic freedom. The time I have to do research is limited by how I am judged. As long as university funding is collapsing, as long as people are being made redundant in universities that are understaffed, academic freedom is in danger.' #UCU

Well there’s actually two sets of people who are likely to look at this and say the UK’s never going back. The EU is only one side of the equation.
