With this "cryogen free" magnet you supply helium as a gas, and the compressor cools and liquifies and recycles it. After the outage, you have to "top off" the reservoir. However the regulator is incredibly sensitive and if you overshoot by even a hair, all the alarms go off.

I was trying to use Bruker's TopSpin 4 (it has an academic license, so)... they had an upgrade to version 5.

Save yourself the trouble and don't upgrade. They managed to make it even more bloated/freezing/hanging and slower than the previous version.
