Designing a Master Schedule to Support All Teachers Careful scheduling that takes into account the needs of teachers across grade levels can maximize the amount of time they have to plan.

How can administrators help teachers avoid burnout? In their new book, Jill Handley and Lara Donnelly explore the importance of a master schedule in providing teachers with time to plan. 🕰️

I hear you and feel you on this. I’m a former principal of 16 years and this was my heaviness the last couple years. I am reading Let Them right now and I wish I had that book years ago. Take care ❤️

Five (Good) Ways to Talk About Data To support teachers in discussing data, school leaders should ensure that the proper foundations are in place.

I started with this article and let the conversation grow authentically there while trying to help teams embrace more frequent formatives along the way. ascd.org/el/articles/...

A1: I had the opportunity to spend a day coaching collaborative teams about productive data use with instructional coaches doing a fishbowl observation. The energy and enthusiasm from the coaches was incredible. One of those days you feel like you made a difference #LeadLap

I had the GREAT PRIVILEGE to coach the facilitation of strength-focused rounds in two Grosse Ile schools today. Each educator possesses strong practices we identify and connect to best practice and impact on learning. This is truly the right work! #LeadWithRounds @burgessdave.bsky.social

Here are a few pics of the team I worked with today.

I pushed them into discomfort using role plays of data meetings and team conflict. We grow more when we reject artificial harmony and press into healthy conflict. This school is ready to apply to be a Model PLC School! #PLCatWork
