Today is #StPatricksDay - so it’s highly appropriate that my brand-new #MotorSport column should pay tribute to that great Irishman 🇮🇪, an #F1 legend if ever there was one, Eddie Jordan, who passed away almost exactly a year ago. Click below to read it.

They’re not the worst but they’re not the best either. It’s not a condensed version of GT racing where this hybrid tech has value to a manufacturer. It should be about intense racing & this is where I’d bring back refuelling (with focus on e-fuels), V8s & have more tyre OEM involved (like 97 season)
Fact, it’s too much entertainment and not racecraft.
#F1 is, in ways, starting to be like #Indycar with the same pattern of weaving by the lead driver to break the tow down the straight. There’s nearly too much ‘artificial’ overtaking now. #ChineseGP #sprint
Delighted for #KimiAntonelli achieving this huge milestone and new record for the being the youngest driver ever to set a pole position. #ChineseGP #F1
The #DRF form isn’t holding up great at this years #Cheltenham - folks are not having an easy time with the bookies!
No winners today at #Cheltenham but I think Quilixios is great value in the #ChampionChase tomorrow! #NationalHunt #PrestburyPark
To see the northern lights before the 11-year cycle downshifts to solar minimum, an aurora chaser recommends traveling before the end of 2027.
Here are some tips to plan your trip:
A super El Niño may develop in the equatorial Pacific Ocean later this year, causing significant changes in weather patterns around the world.
There’s a growing chance that it could push global temperatures to record levels.
Hard to think this is nearly 30 years ago…
#skysportsf1 go from having an epic f1 intro to a very bland and forgetful one.
So that was an entertaining start to the #F1 season. Lots of overtaking (125 vs 45 last year) was more like Mario kart in the first 10 laps but this probably will settle down once drivers adapt to the battery deployment.
So disappointed for Oscar today. #OP81 #Melbourne #F1.
New season, new regs but #scuderiaferrari race strategy is still too rigid & cautious when safety car windows present themselves - they had 2 cars running in a great position - at least one should have taken a gamble - they had 19 secs to call #Hamilton44 - RB much sharper here #melbourne #F1
Will be up early for the F1 season opener! #melbourne #F12026 #australiangrandprix - I’m not a fan of the new regulation - lift and coast just don’t sound right in an F1 car. But there should be some excitement with the race start. Hopefully Oscar will go well! #piastri #OP81 🇦🇺
It’s hard to think that only a few years ago Italy’s participation in the 6 nations was under question - massive win for them today. #rugby #sixnations #EngvsIta #azzurri and huge win for Scotland too!
Interesting comments here on the cost to make a bale - the key metric to consider is how much it costs per tonne and for much of the discussion here - that’s missing #silage #bales #agriculturalcontracting #NewZealand

Back on this after break from social media - a serious #IreVWales test match in #Dublin tonight - #wales were really good physically.
Common sense. People still need to work with people.
Still trying to understand how to get the best value out of BlueSky.
Excruciating grid walk by the #skyf1 team interviewing celebrities. #EmiliaRomagna #grandprix - can they at least get people prepared before hand to make it easier for them and others to anticipate questions? It would be good money for the sponsors who coughed up to have them there.
#onthisday #May15th #Modena countryside. Driving through and stopped to take a photo of #poppies in a field of #wheat - #EmiliaRomagna
Beautiful. #Oilseedrape in flower - on the family farm.
The fact that the #cork #limerick #hurling game is not on tv is a bad call by #RTE - it sounds like a great game on radio.
Day out at the Ongar Ploughing Championship - new T7.300 in the background.
So looking forward to the Ireland vs. South Africa game next weekend. Momentum is building nicely but the Springboks will still be a massive challenge.
Patrick Kielty is off to a good start on the late late show. The new format works well and is refreshing.
The downside of electric charging - IKEA driver practically begs me to use my charging account because he has less than 100miles left - surely IKEA you could provide a credit card to help these lads out?
I love an autumnal morning.
I don’t know who to credit for this but 👏
