I am loving Lucy Powell through all of this. She deserves that "I told you so".
Burnham would ‘probably’ have won byelection, says Labour deputy leader www.theguardian.com/politics/202...
If only there had been a route to getting Andy Burnham back into UK Parliament.....
Starmer’s deputy tells him ‘be more like Andy Burnham’ as he fights to stay on as PM www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...
Arguably SNP have been in a stronger position that Labour for nearly 20 years. With Wales, this is looking like a 2007 moment.
Starmer can't resign until May as Labour needs someone to take the fall for losing control of Wales.
Quote of the interview "it isn't popular down in Wales"..... Down? Where you at my good boy? It doesn't sound like you're here....
Dan Thomas of Reform on BBC Radio Wales is coming across as completely clueless about Wales, its needs, its funding and its politics. He shouldn't be near a community council, let alone the Senedd.
Given that Keir Starmer has given no concessions to Eluned Morgan on HS2, devolution of justice, reform of Barnett or any of Welsh Labour's key policies, it makes you wonder what it would take for her to call for his resignation...
We saw this in 2016 when UKIP gained seats in the then Welsh Assembly, they can't work together as a coherent unit, they fall out and join different factions. We could have over 30 of these in the Senedd come the 8th of May... They're simply not serious people. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
Ian Austin, an Army veteran, was arrested for protesting ICE in Minneapolis. But he’s continued protesting. Senior reporter @julialurie.bsky.social spoke to him.
“When they say, ‘Why would you be out here?’ How the fuck could I not be out here?” he says. “My nation is under attack."
The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.
No vision. Lost the consideration of greater good and best for the people.
This is full on oppression of citizens through unmitigated killing.
Patronising bull.
It's electorally illiterate. From a party that's about to lose its government in Cymru. There seems to be no ambition for long term government.
I stopped social media posts. Damn current affairs making me angry enough to vent.
This is deeply unserious from my party. A decision like this is short sighted and does nothing for continuing success in government.
We may as well all go home at this point.
Good luck with Tuesday. X

We see your flags and we raise our torches. #FlagsIsIt?
Not to detract from a great win from Lindsay Whittle. We just can't let some 💩 takes on the routing of Reform lull Wales into a false sense of security. The Senedd election in May remains a threat to the social fabric of our country if we don't take it tactically as a nation.
Is it though? Plaid's always been a strong 2nd in the Senedd constituency in Caerphilly. Its run the council twice in the past and is in opposition there with councillors concentrated in the constituency itself. This isn't the bellwether it's being made out to be - we still need tactical voting.

That's unfair on a very savvy gen Z 😀
Legends, Cole and his mum made a massive difference in the Caerffili by-election. Hope Cole gets involved in politics, Wales needs more Cole's 👏🏼👍😊🏴
I've seen it before. I lived in Rochester when Mark Reckless got the seat for UKIP for 9 months. At the general there were life long Labour voters putting a cross down for the Conservatives to boot them out and it was a landslide for them.
This is a hell of a message for May.
So proud of my home town today. Kicking Reform to the kerb is just *chefs kiss*. Not even close. And on a huge turn out that normally favours them!
