Loved the Beryl Trail - and the Beryl Cook exhibition- in Plymouth today.

Yes, it’s a lovely lido! I’m slowly working my way round all of the South Devon ones (there are many) - but rather prefer a cold sea to a cold lido. If you do try the sea, Brixham beach is a super place to start as so sheltered. Healthscape CIC offer a great group option too.
First season-swim of the year here in #Brixham. Lots of people on the beach and in the water under blue skies and with fabulously calm water. Still cold, mind.
Lovely - if distinctly “undulating” - #Parkrun in the forest this morning with @walking-class-hero.bsky.social, sort of vaguely on the way to Devon.
‘In the songs’ combination of joy and scepticism, heady complexity and hits-the-first-time riffs, I found an art, and a worldview, that looked like a life I might live. Some of us wore badges and T-shirts that read “Twee as Fuck.”’

Lovely sunny wander from Canning Town to East India Dock via Limmo Peninsula Ecology Park City Island, Trinity Buoy Wharf and East India Quay.
And then to follow that with the ever-wonderful Even As We Speak - what an absolute joy to get to see them play again this evening!
They’ll blow you away!
How incredibly moving to see The Sweetest Ache play again tonight after so very many years. Those songs still sound so beautiful yet so raw, still really get me.
Big Bank Holiday news! My Secret World: The Story of #SarahRecords is finally going online, free for everyone to watch!
The premiere is at midday (GMT) this Bank Holiday Monday:

First new lido of 2026 - the beautiful (if posh / pricey) Thames Lido in Reading yesterday afternoon, some local craft beer last night, and then the lovey scenic and welcoming Reading #Parkrun down by the river this morning. Hurray for Bank Holiday weekends.
A genuine pleasure!
Very sorry to hear this news. It was a legendary venue and, with Paul booking, it always felt like everyone was welcome there, cool or not. And mostly we were not of course. What an amazing contribution he made to live music over so many years.
Rounding off another great month of gigs with @theleaflibrary.bsky.social at @ivyhousenunhead.bsky.social tonight - and lovely to catch up with lots of friends there too.
Wasn’t expecting to see bluebells in March. Nice to be back on @theridgewaynt.bsky.social today, walking with friends from
Goring to Nuffield in Oxfordshire. Just about nearly dodged the rain!
Kingston #Parkrun, a slow walk across central London and then a Twilight Sad gig back in Kingston - all in all not a bad way to spend a Saturday.
Ooh, having failed to get to your last one, very pleased to have a second chance x
Nice to hear this Field Mice session getting a repeat on Riley & Coe this week! Vividly remember the excitement in the Upper Belgrave Road kitchen when I answered the phonecall from John Walters.
Just posting this because The Orchids are such a brilliant band and this is such a beautiful pure hearted poignant slice of pop perfection… and what’s more it is from their most recent album ‘Dreaming Kind’, which I reckon is their greatest.

So good!
And also only one of us two Sarah folk were involved in it…
White is less smudgy though (& possibly rarer unless the blue one is).
See you at the next one! I’ve been looking forward to seeing Silver Biplanes for ages, but dates have never aligned before.
Usual great gig, rubbish photos. *All* the bands had drummers. All the bands were fabulous. Nice to see so many pals.Great to see @jetstreampony.bsky.social for the 1st time in a while and @mtmiseryband.bsky.social and & @heyhumdrum.bsky.social for the very first time. Thanks @precrecs.bsky.social
♥️
And the display is saying 25 minutes and it’s midnight… (not that I believe the 25 minutes anymore)
This view is perfect for me - the rush to get outside (usually late at night) to hopefully not just miss a 65 or 371 bus to Kingston.
The brilliant @darrenhayman.bsky.social has been gradually painting all of London’s tube stations… and I was willing him to get to Richmond, which is the one I use the most… and now he has and I’m pleased to own a bit of his art at last!
Grey old day - but fabulous blackthorn out on our little stretch of @thamespathnt.bsky.social on the way to and from
Kingston #Parkrun this morning. Back to our A route as Ham Lands has emerged from the flood water.
