"🔍 These findings suggest that LI-RADS 3 is not a uniform risk category. Integrating clinical factors with imaging features can improve risk stratification and enable more personalised surveillance strategies for patients with indeterminate liver lesions." - Kevin Fung
Independent predictors of progression included lesion size (≥9.5 mm), Child-Pugh class C and alcohol-related liver disease.
#LIRADS #HepatocellularCarcinoma #PrecisionMedicine
In this multicentric multinational observational study, involving 347 cirrhoritc patients with 540 LI-RADS 3 observations being followed up for 12 months, 28% of LI-RADS 3 observations progressed to LI-RADS 4 (14%) and LI-RADS 5 (14%).
This review covers the full RADS alphabet highlighting applications, imaging criteria, and practical tips for clinical use.

"These findings suggest that while the predictive potential is high, the community must shift focus from quantity to quality, prioritizing external validation and data sharing, to achieve clinical translation." - Amit Gupta

Despite this performance, the average methodological quality was only 54.5% (measured by the METRICS score), with significant heterogeneity and evidence of publication bias.
