Ah yeah, I've been working under the assumption the shard is the same one of Prishe's, good point. I do know when you fight the Snoll in CoP and get the shard back, she calls it 'her magicite' and welcomes it back to her chest. I'll need to refresh if that's a different one than the northlands shard

Nah, Cid mentions in CoP Ch3 that he arranged the northlands expedition as a cover to search for magicite after someone brought him a shard, claiming it was a part of the Star of Tavnazia.

I do agree she's most likely in her 40s-50s, but I also like the idea of her being a bratty grandma lol

If we assume some wiggle room between events (say, 5-10 years after her baptism for folks to notice she's stopped aging, another 5-10 before Mildaurion started letting her roam free, another 5-10 before she lost the magicite) then she could be anywhere from like mid 50s to late 70s / early 80s

Well, we know that Prishe's magicite went missing up in the north, and I believe it was found by the northlands expedition, so her baptism predates Shadow Lord - which was ~30 years ago, and she was in her teens at the time, so bare minimum she's gotta be in her mid 40s

Yeah there is always at least an air of something being special about the player, it is an RPG after all so the kind of has to put you in the center of important events, if nothing else. RoV definitely does away with any pretense though, just going YOU'RE SO SPECIAL I TRAVELED TIME TO FIND YOU

FFXIV starts with a goddess talking to you directly because you're super special and awesome and you have magic powers almost nobody else has. XI starts with you wandering into town and a local guard going "lmao this loser looks lost"
