About 35 multicolored mini-bookmarks, all with wavy groovy lines in coordinating colorways. The bookmarks are arrayed on a wood table, stacked horizontally
I made a bunch of the small ones. They look adorable.
Science!
SUPER excited about these new MWG opportunities! Took a ton of work and years to get it off the ground. Highly recommend MWG members apply for these fully funded writing retreat opportunities!

Well, a quick stress test with a standard paperback and hardback novel passes - with the bookmark by the spine! I’m kind of impressed by the lil’ guy!
Yeah - 2x6 is the standard size, for sure.
I might play around with the width a bit and do some testing in books I have around the house, too (I have lots of books)
Everything above my shoulders hurts. If I’m grumpy and slow to respond, that’s why.
A very intense few weeks on the computer and some travel have definitely exacerbated it. So I’m calling uncle today and working on releasing and relaxing overworked, tired muscles with extreme trigger points and reduced blood flow.
My body is, for the third time in six weeks, in full on rebellion. This time, it’s coat hanger pain—a classic of hypermobility and autonomic dysfunction—surging through my neck, back, and shoulders.
Two bookmarks with wavy lines, one standard sized and one smaller, on a dark brown wood table
Playing around with making mini bookmarks. What do you think? 🤔
The standard one is 2” x 6” and the mini one is 1.4” x 5”
A gray cat is firmly glued the couch. He may be sleeping with his eyes open. Or he has a thousand-yard stare that says, “I’ve seen some shit.” He has not moved for a while. This cat and I are on the same wavelength.
Same, Sherm. Same.
The case for #POTS, #ME/CFS and #LONGCOVID as overlapping, but not identical neuroimmune disorders.
A gray cat with the most beautiful green eyes peeks around a doorframe from his perch on a countertop (where he waits for breakfast). He is staring into your SOUL, but in a good way. Photo submitted by my cat sitter.
Good morning, humans.
The median wine mom voter wants hangings when this ends, just sharing what I hear in the sports stands from the parents
It’s perfect
seeing a lot of "higher gas prices won't affect me because I don't drive very much" and unfortunately it is my sad duty to inform you that your food does not teleport to the grocery store
Ugh. Of course I found the (many, many) replacement blades for my box cutter as soon as I ordered more (and opened them, so I can’t return them).
It's important to recognize that what Walsh is doing is undercutting the idea that history must be interpreted. By announcing to his followers that he has consulted the primary sources, Walsh is claiming to have bypassed interpretation altogether. In other words, the sources speak for themselves.
Oh, update, I got fired by these stupid motherfuckers for no reason, at the top of my game, back in July. Still gullible enough to want to provide my country with good service. Trying to figure out what the final two decades of a life of service after bullshit like that look like.
Chaplains will still hold rank and their rank will tell you something about their level of responsibility and experience, but it should not affect the way they interact with people.
Now, you don’t have to tag me with this Twitter post 😆
Chaplains have never held command authority. And they have always been addressed as “chaplain” (or sometimes by their religious title). This order actually strikes me as a pretty decent compromise.
The matter of rank has been fraught since the existence of a chaplain core in different countries deal with it in different ways. Chaplains feel very differently about the matter of rank. Historically there have been conversations about removing chaplains’s rank entirely.
it also reflected a rapid expansion in the number of endorsing agencies for chaplains — which is a matter of bureaucracy, not belief or practice; streamling these codes is quite simply a matter of practicality and common sense.
The expansion of “religious codes” in the military truly is a phenomenon of the post World War II and post-Vietnam eras, when specificity and expansion was a high priority;
Both of these are *entirely* sensible, reasonable, historically justifiable, and — in my opinion — potentially positive moves. I don’t think either one of these does any damage and I think both of them have potential to do some interesting and potentially very positive things actually.
Two reforms to the Chaplain Corps announced today. More later, maybe. I’m REALLY tired, and these are very quick, very hot takes

Judge says, ok, so if Anthropic asks annoying questions they can be designated as a supply chain risk?
Well, the current “national government” is still in place. So I’d say “clown event” is highly likely.
A screenshot of part of a “news” article that was clearly generated by AI — the bold text says “Humanized Closing Paragraph” before continuing the meaningless text that just fills in key words amidst meaningless drivel
Love when the AI slop gets left in the utterly meaningless copy-pasta “news” article that is probably put out in every metro area market. The key words are literally filled in in bold type.
