...An individual's codex is retrieved and added to a greater archive, where it's sorted, memorialized, and their experiences added to the body of Acuit knowledge.
#AprilWorldbuilders The Acuit 'clarify' their children at a young age, a process that makes them immune to mind-altering magic at the expense of deadening their emotions and memory.
Every Acuit carries a codex, a compact journal in which they record important events in their lives. On death...
I’d work on skills I’m not very good at: like music, art, 3D modeling and animation, etc. That way, once the year’s up, I’ll be able to do way more :D
The first frame of this video is my favorite part. The way everything outside the window is out of focus, blurring a view unlike anything any modern device has ever captured. It's artistic like something straight out of a movie or short film
To celebrate hitting 14,000 followers on Bluesky, I'm... gonna shake my tip jars on Ko-Fi and Paypal below, because work's been slow this month and I've got a house move coming up at the end of April...
But I'll be also posting a big thread of cool games with under 100 Steam reviews! LET'S GOOOOOO!
I will never, ever, ever use AI in my writing. From idea to the finished piece, it’s all human. I do not see the point otherwise.
it's that easy
How does it feel to be an Iranian right now? 🧵
The fact that "being taxed on a wealth that would take most people dozens of generations to gather" is "the scariest thing she's ever seen" means the world isn't scaring millionaires and billionaires nearly enough yet.
Deadbeat's sitting at 2 (counted) reviews right now, so as per the quoted post, it would definitely mean a ton to me if anyone were to review my game!
Even if you just played it a little bit, even if you disliked it, any signs of life on there would put a smile on my face!
Full disclosure: I realized I didn't own this game yet and bought it so that I could leave a review :D Made by the talented @lumsel.bsky.social, it's a neat puzzle/platformer hybrid! It's simple enough as a premise, enough that I've seen similar, but none quite so elegant or nuanced!
A nostalgic pick for me, a coffee break roguelite that existed a loooong time ago. It's not incredibly complex, but it's still a lot of fun!
A very cool and creepy game by @itsthetalia.bsky.social! It's sort of like Little Inferno except instead of somewhat cozy apocalypse vibes it's surreal childhood horror (and I like it more).
Star Seeker is a short but very fun magical crime scene deduction game set in a world where magic is illegal! It has dialogue for pretty much every little interaction, which is a great touch.
I can't wait to see more of it!
Probability 0 is a fun, simple roguelike with an addicting loop and surprisingly deep progression mechanics for what it is! Made by @droqen.bsky.social

Once I get home, I’m gonna do this immediately for a few games (and give myself permission to quote it with my game without feeling like a jerk XB) Watch this space!
The tough thing is that Death is One Very Interesting And Upsetting Thing, while Life is, definitionally, Everything Else :D
I remember, from a young age, the things that my siblings and I were praised most about by strangers our parents talked to was how 'obedient' we were.
I thought it was a normal and laudable thing back then (who would want to Break The Rules??), but now it turns my stomach.
A manga panel from Witch Hat Atelier vol 3. The text bubbles say "There's nothing I hate more. . . . . . than adults who treat kids like things instead of people."
I didn't expect to find something that resonated so personally in Witch Hat Atelier, but this hit so close to home. I know what it's like to grow up in a household where your worth is tied to obedience & doing what's expected. And when you deviate, your family lowers the threshold of their kindness.
A picture of a library shelf with a small rolled up note on it. The note says “read this” in child’s handwriting.
A picture of the note unrolled. In the same child’s handwriting it reads “beware of the future!!”
Still thinking about this note I found in the children’s section of the public library when I worked there back in 2018. This kid tried to warn us…
The default stance of every corporation and investor is “If we just keep running up the imaginary stairs and never look down, we’ll never fall into the canyon”
The “Calvin’s dad explains two types” meme, inspired by a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon. Clockwise from top left: 1) Calvin’s dad walks into frame to find Calvin trying to operate a record player. The dad says: “There are only two industries left in America: gambling, and fraud.” 2) The dad shows where the record goes, and how to turn on the player, while Calvin watches. Dad says “Derivatives? Gambling. AI? Fraud. Video games? Gambling. Social media? Fraud.” Calvin says “yeah”. 3) With one hand open palm up, Calvin’s dad cheerfully explains to Calvin out of frame below him, “The stock market looks like gambling, but it’s actually fraud.” 4) In bed in a dark room, Calvin clutches at his pillow, eyes wide in existential terror. There is no text in the panel.
