We’ve raised over €1,200 from our games designed for our research which we donated to luonnonperintosaatio.fi for Finland’s old-growth forests. 🐺🌲 Thank you for supporting wolves and their habitats!

Systema Naturae, a double page spread chart, tightly packed with names of animal species. It is split into Quadrapedia, Aves, Amphibia, Pieces, Insecta and Vermes.
It is #TaxonomistAppreciationDay today! A big day for Carl Linnaeus, who we happen to care about (just a little.)
100 years before Darwin's evolutionary theory was published, Linnaeus was classifying animals based on shared traits. He created #SystemaNaturae in 1735, and we still use it to this day!
I am excited to start as a Writing-up fellow at Konrad Lorenz Institute, Vienna, Austria for 6 months as a part of my PhD🎉

Hundreds of Olive Ridley sea turtle carcasses have been found since the first week of January in the Chennai and Chengalpattu districts. Conservationists say the number of deaths is three times the usual number during the mating season.
