Our pals The Mary Wallopers have just been pulled off stage and the PA shut down at VictoriousFest in Portsmouth for taking out a 🇵🇸 flag and saying Free Palestine
Speak up against genocide in England and you're treated like a criminal
Up the Mary Wallopers 💚🤍🧡

Free the 6 counties!
Ping! An email from the BBC Director General himself, Tim Davie. He wants my opinion* on the Future of the BBC.

Aha, I think, a chance to say; 'put the arts back on TV!'

These are outsiders, always. These stars—
these iron inklings of an Irish January,
whose light happened
thousands of years before
our pain did; they are, they have always been
outside history. They keep their distance. Under them remains
a place where you found
you were human …

Short letter to Irish Times, detailing the grief felt by the letter writer at Christmas, after the loss of his wife.
What a letter.

‘Eleven Fugues for Sodium Pentothal’ - Adam Wiltzie
His work with Stars of the Lid & A Winged Victory for the Sullen marks him out as one of the most respected artists of the ambient music genre.
This is another slow moving, glacial masterpiece.
If you haven't seen the film 'Tish' seek it out.
Despite her immense talent Tish struggled for much of her life. Her lack of recognition & support, rejection for an Arts Council grant meant she had to prioritize survival over pursuing her art.

I'm listening to the new Cure album therapeutically, as recommended by the band's name.
You are enough♥️
"Return of The Native"
Paula Rego, 1993.
The title may have been borrowed, but a woman, no less has her experience of a story.
❛ Poetry is nobody’s business except the poet’s, and everybody else can fuck off.
Philip Larkin, who died #OTD in 1985. 🦔
Can not wait.
I know! He was probably apologising for the uncompromising and brutal honesty of both his presence and performance.
Which was what we'd come for... and the great tunes ☺️
Mark Eitzel - Superhits
There must be more of these floating around...
Mark did a personalised artwork on each one as we bought them after a London show, ‘00 I think.. don't remember the venue.
‘1000 Miles’ is on this 🖤
And of course the show was incredible.
I could listen to Aldous Harding sing Nick Drake songs all day and night.
