Did a 2.5 mile run/walk today, 3 days post 50k. Felt fine, still have giant blister on the side of my toe but it’s not bothering me so I’ll leave it alone for now. I suppose i need to find my next event for motivation #running

So. Many. Rocks. I kicked as many as I could. I seriously need to figure out how to get my feet off the ground.

Trail gaitors work! This is my good foot right after I took off my inner toe socks. My right foot is the one that likes to kick rocks and will probably lose a nail. Also got a huge blister but luckily did not know about it until after!

Ancient lakes / Bishop recreation area, central WA. Really beautiful. This is one of several lakes.

Rocks at bottom of pic are a steep shale downhill trail. My second time through search and rescue at the bottom. Luckily did not need!

Trail is there between the foliage. Unfortunately so rocky it was hard for me to run even though flat. Others did not seem to have a problem though.

Columbia river. Third loop swung down to the river, then climb climb back out.

1/2 50k #run (35 mile per garmin) yesterday. Needed some time to emotionally process this one. V v hard - sand/loose dirt, single track and so so many rocks. Ran less than I’d hoped & finished about a half hour within goal. Back of pack 4 sure! #AncientLakes #runsuperseries put on a great event! 👍👍

5 miles #running yesterday then an evening out with the fam at Jazz Alley to hear ukulele star Jake Shimabukuro. Check out his YouTube of Golden. It was a great show.
A few more days of taper and the 50k is next Saturday. Gotta have some clean livin this week!

5 miles #running today, then bus downtown to have lunch with a friend and go to the Seattle art museum for first free Thursday. Below is a couple terrible pics I took of great art.

3.8 miles mid-day #run. Sun is out today. Cool. Perfect conditions. I’m at 138 miles this month, my biggest month ever!

Creek that flows into Puget sound. No salmon runs this time of year. Not sure why that log has been placed across the creek like that.

5 miles today #running in the wind and dodging puddles. The rain tapered off after the first two miles. Was feeling great but am feeling it in my legs now - hopefully that resolves overnight.

20 miles #running today with 3159 ft vert climb. Snow, rain, sun, and so much mud. My legs were struggling today. I’m feeling these weeks that have (for me) high mileage. I think I need to adjust my plan to take a reduced week.
