Ancient lakes / Bishop recreation area, central WA. Really beautiful. This is one of several lakes.
Rocks at bottom of pic are a steep shale downhill trail. My second time through search and rescue at the bottom. Luckily did not need!
Trail is there between the foliage. Unfortunately so rocky it was hard for me to run even though flat. Others did not seem to have a problem though.
Columbia river. Third loop swung down to the river, then climb climb back out.
1/2 50k #run (35 mile per garmin) yesterday. Needed some time to emotionally process this one. V v hard - sand/loose dirt, single track and so so many rocks. Ran less than I’d hoped & finished about a half hour within goal. Back of pack 4 sure! #AncientLakes #runsuperseries put on a great event! 👍👍
